026. Make 101 Disney pin trades (11/101)

I've got a few pin packages to send out for trades I've made this week while on Christmas break. I got one pin in the post this morning, I've wanted it for a long time!

As well as some pin trade packages to send out, I'm donating a couple of my pins to Show Me The Pins - a project to make the largest collection of Mickey Mouse pins through donating, buying and trading. I think it's a great thing to be a part of and I look forward to seeing the project grow and help out whenever and wherever I can.

022. Watch 100 never-seen-before movies (2/100)

This is what I love about Christmas, lots of movies on the TV! Combine that with our new Sky+ and we get to record the movies to watch whenever we want.

Yesterday evening we watched 'Couples Retreat' which we'd had saved for some time. I don't want to turn this into an opportunity to rate and review the movies we watch, but we did enjoy it and found lots of it to be funny, but I wouldn't be fussed about watching it again.

We still have lots of movies to watch that we've saved, so I expect to watch a few more before we go back to work on January 4th.

070. Collect 101 WDW postcards

I discovered Postcrossing while making my list of 101 things and I was thinking very much about Walt Disney World and collecting. I decided to smudge together the concept of Postcrossing with my love of WDW and create something unique and challenging for my list.

In 1001 days I would like to collect 101 postcards from Walt Disney World in Florida! This will rely solely on the kindness and generosity of others. I will, of course, send postcards in return to those who want to do direct swaps.

035. Buy shelves and organise the office

When we moved into our new hours in July we took a few trips down to IKEA to choose some new furniture. I wanted a new desk and shelves for the room where we'd keep our computer, or the office. We almost went with the Billy bookcase system, but I opted for the Exepdit system instead. I took to Flickr to search for shelving inspiration and found this picture by almostbunnies. I hope that I can organise my shelves in the same way!

Today I ordered my Expedit shelf from IKEA so it will be delivered during our Christmas break. My office needs some TLC while we're off work, it's become a messy dumping-ground ever since we moved into the house in July.

022. Watch 100 never-seen-before movies (1/100)

I bet you have movies that you've meant to watch for so long and never got round to it? We've had 'The Time Traveler's Wife' saved to our Sky+ box for months and we had never got around to watching it. Our plans for today were ruined by the snow, so we stayed in all day and decided to watch this movie, finally! With Rachel McAdams in the movie it definitely has that romantic feel of 'The Notebook', which I really like.

We have four other movies saved to our Sky+ box that we need to get around to watching over Christmas break - I'm looking forward to it.

031. Order grocery shopping online 50 times (1/50)

Last night about 2 inches of snow feel in less than an hour, it was just after I'd finished work and making my way home. There's been no more snow since, but it has been about minus six degrees all day! Here's a picture from the front of our house.



I don't fancy driving in this unless I have to, so why not order my grocery shopping online and have it delivered tomorrow? After all I have given myself a target of 50 online shops during my 1001 days!

026. Make 101 Disney pin trades (8/101)

My camera is waiting for it's battery to recharge, so no pin pictures tonight. I did receive 5 packages over the last few days with more pins! I'm up to 8 trades so far with 12 new pins in 2 days! I've updated my PinPics trades and owns.

026. Make 101 Disney pin trades (3/101)

It's nice to see post waiting for you when you get home. Today I had two packages waiting with Disney pins inside - this takes my pin trade total up to three! They're all pretty cute and I think I'll make the Minnie Mouse pin a keeper and add the others into my traders.



Looking forward to having more post waiting for me to get home from work this week!

021. [currently reading] 'Remember Me?' by Sophie Kinsella

How many books do you own that you've started reading and never finished? If you're like me, then that figure would be high! My book shelf is full of half-read books. Tonight I carried on reading 'Remember Me?' by Sophie Kinsella. This is one of many books I own that I want to finish as part of my 101 in 1001.

I hadn't read this book for well over a year, I bought it at Sanford Airport on my way back from Florida in September 2009. I did really enjoy it and have no idea why I didn't carry on. Tonight I ended up reading more of the book than I did on that flight home!

026. Make 101 Disney pin trades (1/101)

This morning I received a package with two Disney pins, this marks the first trade I've made during my 101in1001!

These are Cast Member exclusive pins sent to me by Barbara at DisBoards as part of the Winter Pin Exchange. I also mailed off all my pins today, I expect to get more packages from others next week!
